My name is John and I am El Jefe @JargaPix as well as a father, husband, teacher, triathlete, whiskey & beer swigging all around good guy. Primarily however, I am a New Jersey, New York & Philadelphia Editorial, Wedding, Portrait and Event photographer. So you wanna know a little about but about me, huh? Well alrighty then. After finishing high school I studied for and taught TESOL for 15 years. I was the Academic Director of a private school in WNY, NJ. On my free time I photographed my family, friends and parties. Always for fun but I kept wanting to get better and better quality of images and capture what I saw in my mind on film. Ever since I was young I've been drawn to photographs and how the can convey emotion in a split second.
In 2006, upon the birth of my son, I decided to step up my game and invested in some high quality gear and education. After 3 years of practicing, studying, learning and perfecting the craft, I decided to leave my teaching position to start my own company and dedicate all my time to my new career. I give many thanks to the Digital Era & a bunch of fellow photographers whom I've met along the years for assisting me in this creative outlet. More importantly I give thanks to all my clients, past, present & future. Without you, I would never be able to take this bold step.
