Hi—I’m John.
 

I’m a New Jersey and New York City–based commercial, corporate, and portrait photographer, and the guy behind JargaPix. I photograph executives, teams, brands, and real humans doing real work—without the stiff poses or fake smiles. My goal is simple: create images that feel authentic, confident, and unmistakably you.
 

Before I ever picked up a camera professionally, I spent 15 years as an adult ESL educator and Academic Director in WNY, NJ. Teaching shaped the way I work today—I learned how to read a room, connect with different personalities, and help people feel comfortable being themselves. Photography started as something I did for family, friends, and events, just for fun. But I was always chasing the same thing: capturing the emotion I could see in a moment and freezing it in a single frame.
 

In 2006, when my son was born, that hobby turned into a mission. I invested in serious gear, apprenticed with seasoned photographers, attended workshops and studied the craft obsessively. After years of learning and refining my eye, I took the leap from education into photography full-time—and I’ve never looked back.
 

Today I work with corporations, agencies, and professionals who need more than just “a photo.” They need images that communicate credibility, approachability, and story. Whether it’s executive headshots, editorial portraits, or documenting a high-energy corporate event, I bring the same approach: listen first, shoot with intention, deliver with care.
 

Outside of the camera, I’m a dad, husband, occasional triathlete, guitar player and someone who appreciates a good conversation over a well-earned whiskey. Those parts of my life keep me grounded—and they help me connect with the people I photograph.
